Born in Panama to Peruvian parents, the brothers found themselves spending their formative teens in Ohio creating their first pop/rock band and identifying with the 90s punk counterculture ideals that run deep in their veins to this day.
The brothers parted ways after high school; Dav pursued further musical studies and a solo career in Mexico City and Puerto Rico while Johnny spent time in the studio developing his production skills. The brothers re-convened in Miami in 2010 and began writing with others such as Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Pitbull, Kat Dahlia, Jason Derulo, Marc Anthony, Los Rakas, and Paulina Rubio.
2015 found the brothers itching to not only redirect focus onto their own new project, XAXO, but also as an awakening to their role in the greater Miami creative community. From this spark, the brothers formed Space52, an underground music and art movement rooted in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District whose name stems from their exclusive, speakeasy-style warehouse where they collaborate with the scene’s most forward-thinking artists.
In advance of the EP release, the guys released the video for preview track “Safe Unknown,” which has seen nearly 90K plays on YouTube with support from Mexican Vine & YouTube influencer Nath Campos. View the video HERE.
