The story behind Pompeya’s latest video is just as good as the actual thing [405 Premiere] Watch here.
“During a tour stop in Abkhazia (the small stretch of land between Russia and Georgia,) Russian pop/funk outfit, Pompeya shot playful footage, later edited and delivered as the video for their breezy single ‘Cry About It (OOOOO),’ which comes from their 2015 album, Real.
The four-piece’s early song ‘Pitsunda’ was named after an Abkhazian resort that two of the band members used to visit, which inspired fans to start a petition for Pompeya to come perform live. After finally booking the show in 2015, the promoters went all out and put up billboards around the country. The indie exports’ video features show footage, capturing their warm welcome.
Pompeya is currently playing a March Los Angeles residency. Find dates for that below, and view the full article and music video on The 405 here.”
