Pompeya Releases “Pasadena” Music Video

The music video for “Pasadena” from Pompeya is premiering now at My Old Kentucky Blog here. Of the song, the band explains, “While we were in Pasadena only once in our lives, the meaning of the place is like so many others. You have an idea of what a place is, and create a new context for it with your imagination. The name sounds romantic, almost cinematic. Again, completely removed from what the place itself may be in reality…We’ve created our own romantic reality in its place.” “Pasadena” is off the band’s latest release Real, out now.

In addition, limited edition vinyl of Real will be available July 31. The vinyl comes with a digital download of the album including bonus tracks. [Preorder here]

Real is receiving widespread critical acclaim:

“…danceable grooves and funky baselines…the definition of pop.”—NPR

“…perky New Wave guitars and Cure-like shimmer.”—Entertainment Weekly

“…a glitzy, neon-sunset, convertible cruise down palm-treed lanes, which is all very confusing because, again, they’re from Moscow, a city not exactly known for its synth-lush indie exports…the escapism feels great.”—Stereogum

“…an album that’s buoyant and catchy while exploring new sounds.”—Paste

“These guys bring colorful music to the gloomy landscapes…”—MTV

“A slinky cut of new wave-ish indie…”—Vice’s Noisey
