Peruvian (now Miami-based) outfit Hunters of the Alps has released their debut official single “Time (How To Love).” The track premiered today with All Things Go — see HERE.
Comprised of lead vocalist Mario Giancarlo Garibaldi and guitarist Jorge Velásquez (as well as 2 others to form a live 4-piece), the band got its name as a reference to citizens that lived in the Alps trying to unite Italy in the 1800s. Cacciatori delle Alpi is the Italian name.
The band has shared the stage with artists such as Twin Shadow and Tanlines and was chosen to open for Unknown Mortal Orchestra next week at Converse Rubber Tracks Live. See artwork here:
Jorge had made waves in the Latin Alternative music scene playing in numerous bands while Mario had for been forging his way with his indie rock project Modernage, but the desire to break away and have more creative freedom ultimately spawned Hunters of the Alps.
Having played festivals like III Points and Transatlantic Festival and with a debut EP on the horizon, Hunters of the Alps is not one to sleep on.
“Time (How To Love)” is the first single from the band’s debut EP, slated for a 2017 release via Mishu Records. Be on the lookout for the official video for “Time (How To Love),” coming later this year.
